{"id":41050,"date":"2021-06-14T17:59:50","date_gmt":"2021-06-14T15:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/flamencolive.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=41050"},"modified":"2021-06-14T18:08:29","modified_gmt":"2021-06-14T16:08:29","slug":"alma-de-nino-songbook-2-yago-santos","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/flamencolive.com\/en\/alma-de-nino-songbook-2-yago-santos\/","title":{"rendered":"Alma de ni\u00f1o SONGBOOK 2 &#8211; Yago Santos"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<div align=\"left\">\n<p>Eight flamenco\u00a0pieces full of character, colors, and textures that glimpse a contemporary approach to traditional flamenco.<br \/>\nAlma de Ni\u00f1o\u00a0is the title of Yago Santos&#8217; first album, transcribed by the composer in two books entitled &#8220;Alma de Ni\u00f1o Songbook 1&#8221; and &#8220;Alma de Ni\u00f1o Songbook 2&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In this second scorebook, the most contemporary pieces of the album are presented.<br \/>\nAlma de Ni\u00f1o Songbook 2 is a daring and experimental work, composed for concert flamenco guitar, making use of alternative tunings or scordatura in all the flamenco touches that make it up. With the exception of the tuning used in the DADF # BE ronde\u00f1a (created by maestro Ram\u00f3n Montoya) all the tunings of Alma de Ni\u00f1o Songbook 2 are original creations by the composer.<\/p>\n<p>Alma de Ni\u00f1o Songbook 2\u00a0includes:<\/p>\n<p>1) Tangos del Zahor\u00ed (Tangos)<br \/>\n2) Loca (Seguiriya)<br \/>\n3) Alma de Ni\u00f1o (Rumba)<br \/>\n4) Por Lavapi\u00e9s (Tientos)<br \/>\n5) Origen (Buler\u00eda)<br \/>\n6) A mi Padre (Ronde\u00f1a)<br \/>\n7) Presente (Buler\u00eda)<br \/>\n8) Tren del Olvido (Fantas\u00eda)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flamencolive.com\/libreria\/ALMA%20DE%20NINO%20SONGBOOK%202_ejemplos.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See examples\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.storemusic-live.es\/_articulos\/aaa_pdf.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div>The eight toques that Alma de Ni\u00f1o Songbook 2 contains correspond to the author&#8217;s second period (2015-2020), a period that took place between Madrid and Boston (United States).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The interaction with musicians from the most diverse musical cultures greatly influenced the concept of this second book. In Yago&#8217;s words &#8220;during my period in the United States I had the possibility to experiment with different styles of music and musicians from all over the world, which awakened in me a concern to investigate more in-depth the aesthetic possibilities of the guitar and flamenco music \u201d.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Among the works of Alma de Ni\u00f1o Songbook 2, the rumba Alma de Ni\u00f1o, which gives the album its title, and the buler\u00eda Origen, a work originally composed for guitar and orchestra, stand out as an arrangement for two guitars.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The idea of \u200b\u200bthis book is to record the experiences of the composer reflected through his music; moments and moods that are reflected in a wide collection of flamenco styles in which the lyricism of the melodies, the abundant left-hand ligatures, the personal arpeggio mechanisms and powerful &#8220;rasgueos&#8221;
