Calle De La Sangre is a buler\u00eda and to speak of the buler\u00eda is to speak of Jerez. I believe Jerez is a buler\u00eda, it\u2019s a way of walking, of greeting one another from pavement to pavement, of laughing at a joke almost always with a few claps and an ol\u00e9 as a reward. When the enjoyment goes on a little, the claps also go on and almost certainly end up being the \u2018comp\u00e1s\u2019 por \u2018buler\u00edas\u2019. Since I was a small child I have been an admirer of the art and artists of this region. I think that the least good, at some point, is as good as the best. When I learned to play this style I did so by watching and listening above all to the MORAOS DE JEREZ who for me, have been great players and proponents of that \u2018air\u2019 which is so characteristic. Thank you.
\nI also want to thank the great master of Jerez, RAFAEL \u2018EL AGUILA\u2019 who was the teacher of many of today\u2019s guitarists and who would use me as an example: \u201cthat guitarist from Madrid\u201d. For all these reasons this buler\u00eda which I\u2019ve recorded here with my son Victor is titled: \u201cCALLE DE SANGRE\u201d which is the street in Jerez where many artists have lived and still do, and to whom I offer my thanks for everything they taught me.<\/p>\n
