Transcriptions for Flamenco flute and other melodic instruments – Camarón de la Isla

This book that collects Camarón’s work is the first transcription of flamenco singing written in score and adapted for Flamenco Flute and melodic instruments.

When it comes to transcribing Flamenco cante, it is impossible to capture the essence of its being or the melismas (small ornaments of the voice in quarter tones and difficult to write) that are generated in its interpretation, but it can be translated into values and notes of the most accurate and professional way possible.

The best way to face the study of these works is of course listening to them for a short discography is included on each track as a reference. On the other hand, Camarón did not sing a song twice in the same way, and that is why we can and must have some freedom when it comes to reproducing cantes as long as we respect the meter and the style.

Transcriptions have been done for all melodic instruments like flute, sax, violin, etc.. in C,  Bb, Eb, and F Clef.
