Juan Andrés Maya is the visible leader of the flamenco line-up made up of two other young dancers: Iván Vargas who aged only 17, has already distinguished himself as one of the most powerful artists of the moment thanks to the purity and pedigree he possesses; and Pepa Carrasco, a dancer to be reckoned with, sure of herself, uncomplicated and vibrant both on and off stage.
Such a genius of flamenco dance as Juan Andrés could not but be a member of any other family but the most flamenco dynasty of the Mayas. To speak of Maya is to speak of artistry, bravura, brightness, darkness, and above all, flamenco dance and depth of feeling. But always creating a school of followers and a unique personal style.
